About Rahim Khajeh

Rahim Khajeh, M.D., specializes in family medicine because he believes primary care is the foundation of health care. "Primary care has always been my passion in medicine as it provides the tremendous opportunity to establish long-term relationships with my patients and their families," he said. "The ability to take care of their health care needs is a privilege." In addition, Dr. Khajeh wants to ensure that his patients have an established primary care journey. "I want to help take care of my patients' chronic medical issues such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes, as well help them maintain their scheduled health screenings like colonoscopies, bone densities and vaccinations." Born and raised in the town of Shiraz, Iran, and graduating from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in 2005, he was practicing as a primary care physician in his home country for four years before coming to the United States in 2009, where he had the opportunity to shadow in the field of family medicine for several years before entering training in a residency at Louisiana State University Shreveport Health Science Center in 2014 and moved to Tucson after finishing training in 2017. With his wife from Tucson as well as his appreciation of the Tucson culture and climate, this desert city was the logical place for him to practice. "Tucson's welcoming atmosphere as well as the hospitality of the people here in Tucson makes this a very unique place in terms of nature, number of days of sunshine, and having pleasant weather for most of the year," he said. Dr. Khajeh enjoys traveling to Sedona and the Grand Canyon while enjoying the easy pace of life in Tucson.
